Giraffes - batik pictures and painted welly

I saw giraffes on safari in South Africa recently; they are such graceful creatures and they made me smile. The challenge is - to create them in artwork! The welly is "in progress" (hopefully the finished result later!) but the batiks are finished and ready for framing. I tried very similar drawings, on white 100% cotton, but experimented with different dyes. The photos below show some of the stages.

Handbag, beach hut fabric

I found this gorgeous seaside material, with rows of beach huts, and needed a project to use it, hence this small fabric bag!

Batik poppies

This batik artwork is now framed - I found it hard to photograph because of reflections!
