These are some more pictures ready for Ayton Art Exhibition at the end of July. The initial photo is batik, showing stage one, where I've painted the background with hot wax as a resist, in order to keep it white. One of the two foxglove paintings is on silk.

Silk Paintings postcard size
At the end of July, there are two local exhibitions for postcard sized artwork (Dalby Visitors' Centre and Woodend Museum, Scarborough), so I've been getting work ready . These are silk paintings; two photos show "in progress", with the designs drawn onto silk with gutta - a resist used to prevent the paint bleeding into the wrong areas. The first photo shows 8 finished postcards. All artwork will be for sale.
The framed iris picture is the same process, but just too big to qualify as a 6" x 4" postcard, so that's ready for Ayton Art Exhibition, also at the end of July.
Counting rhymes finger puppet gloves
These are for my grandson with a single glove for an adult, so they can sing "Five Little Speckled Frogs" together. There are also patterns for "Ten in the Bed" and "Five Little Monkeys" which I shall knit eventually. Adding features was a bit fiddly!
