I loved doing these old boots, which were a gift from my son. First job - to drill holes in the soles for drainage. After priming the surface with gesso, I used the three primary colours in acrylic paint and an old shaving brush, and just let the colours mix on the boots. Next - poppies on one boot and iris on the other - and a coat of varnish. I've planted them with geraniums and petunias. I'll add more photos as the summer goes on. Hopefully they'll be a riot of colour.

Big Bear - hand knit soft toy
Meet REG - my latest knitting project. I still have enough wool left to knit him a friend!
I used a pattern from the "Temporary Measures" shop in Keswick, which sadly is now just a coffee shop. Sorry - Reg is SOLD, but I still have more wool!

Poppy Watercolour
Just been on a day's workshop, led by a botanical artist. Really pleased with the end result, as I hardly ever tackle watercolours! We worked from live plant material and the poppies in the garden are at their best right now.
Tea Cosies
I knit the cow from a pattern and then adapted it for a sheep face - just for fun. It will make a good cover for a kitchen appliance, as well as covering a tea pot!
