Ladybird Welly

 

I bought a pair of wellies so I could do a black bear commission, and decided to paint ladybirds on the spare one.

Approximate measurements: 8.5”/21cm sole; 9.5”/24cm tall; size 12; 350g weight. It will take a 4” plant pot or a small vase for flowers.

These two items are made from a new but discontinued curtain sample; all the fabric is lined. The backing for each item is new good quality calico.

Beachcomber mosaic

 

I made this seaside themed picture using items collected from a beach in the north of Scotland.

I painted the background on a wooden chopping board, before gluing on the sea urchin pieces, shells, broken/sea washed glass and ceramics with PVA.
