Original Mosaic, seaside theme, framed,
signed. “Fish and Chips for Tea?”
This original design is based on Scarborough where I
live, with its problem of seagulls stealing fish and chips on the seafront. This
is loosely based on Scarborough Headland with the castle in the background.
I’ve used craft mosaic tiles plus broken pottery,
glued onto MDF board, which in turn has been glued onto the Perspex surface of
a new frame. It will hang on the wall using the manufacturer’s hook at the back
– or you could add conventional picture frame hooks and cord.
The photos show stages in progress, the finished
picture and one close up showing where I changed the colour of a wing tip with
acrylic paint and varnish to make it stand out from the green castle hill –
plus a slight manufacturer’s flaw on the gold edge of the new frame.
