ELEPHANT mosaic with 2 wooden knobs for hanging up items

 This is part of my new craftwork theme …Rescue, Repurpose, Reuse. I’m trying to create usable items from used parts, adding an art and craft aspect to them. For this storage piece, the chopping board came from a charity shop, which I sanded and varnished on the front. There are 2 mirror plates added, so it can be screwed directly to a wall (screws and rawl plugs included), or it can be hung like a picture as shown in the photos.
For the elephant, I bought a pre-cut MDF elephant shape, to which I’ve added mosaic craft tiles, which have been grouted.
The elephant is attached to the board with strong PVA glue. The wooden knobs (new, but originally intended for a set of drawers), are screwed on from the back.

TOTE BAG with batik ELEPHANT pockets.

 

I bought an elephant batik cushion cover when on holiday to South Africa, and a new calico tote bag from an Oxfam shop. The cushion cover is no longer needed, so I've now amalgamated the two items into a bag with two outer pockets.

The batik elephant is lined with calico, with a “sandwich” of wadding.
