TOTE BAG with batik ELEPHANT pockets.

I bought an elephant batik cushion cover when on holiday to South Africa, and a new calico tote bag from an Oxfam shop. The cushion cover is no longer needed, so I've now amalgamated the two items into a bag with two outer pockets.

The batik elephant is lined with calico, with a sandwich of wadding.

Length including handles 28” / 70cm

Bag itself 16 / 42cm x 14.5 x 37cm

New LOGO - RESCUE REPURPOSE RECYCLE

Thanks to my son ... and his knowledge of AI and computer techniques ... I have a new LOGO for my current repurposing and recycling phase.

I have a large stash of rescued items, and before I buy more "treasures", I'm determined to give these pre-loved or quirky items a new lease of life.

Table centre mosaic with driftwood and a felted seagull

“DELICIOUS FISH! Now, where are the chips?”

I am currently making items with the logo “rescue, repurpose, recycle.” This unique piece uses a pre-loved baking tray, a twisted piece of driftwood from Filey beach, and a felted seagull.

Baking tray 30cm x 25cm (12” x 10”), to which I’ve added a green felt base.
Driftwood 22cm high, 20cm x 26cm …which I’ve scrubbed and varnished.
I created three fish and a sea effect, with mosaic craft tiles. The driftwood was then screwed to the base before grouting.
The seagull is made with shaped chicken wire, bound in felting wool, and then needle felted.
Total weight 2047g.
