This is my entry for EAST COAST OPEN EXHIBITION at Scarborough Art Gallery, January 19th - 28th April 2019
It's only my fifth mosaic, and I'm really hooked! It's almost one metre high, so has been quite time consuming. Below are photos of progress from the initial idea - I wanted to incorporate a few features of Scarborough seafront - sand, sea and seagulls, the lighthouse and castle, and the iconic, brightly coloured beach huts. Delighted to say it has been SOLD, so my next project will be Snapshot of Ayton, where I live, hopefully in time for the Ayton Art Club summer exhibition.
