This was a "one off" experiment with knitted squares - not to be repeated! I'm pleased with the end result but the process was somewhat "wonky donkey"! I think the problem was that I raided my wool stash and used "leftovers" - whereas, if I ever did another, I would buy new wool - all the same make and ply.
However, it does what it says on the tin and is incredibly warm - ideal for over the legs when you don't want to put the central heating on!
I knit 5 vertical strips, two are navy blue and the other three have one or two sheep heads. The blanket has a wadding middle and the backing is fleece fabric. Another problem - my sewing machine couldn't cope with three layers, so there was a lot of handstitiching.
Not all negative - the individual sheep squares work well - I'm hatching a future project!
