The photos show the stages in making this mosaic from my own design, based on the iconic sights by the weir in Ayton where I live. It is glued onto double layered mountboard, with an added mount, and framed in a specially made frame by Picturesque Framers, Scarborough.
The design shows Ayton Bridge, the weir, the heron (a regular visitor) and one of the many mallard ducks. There’s a bit of artistic licence!
Approx. measurements:
Mosaic itself 18cm x 35cm x 1cm
Frame: 1.5cm deep; 28.5cm x 46cm.
